Abstract:

H₂O₂ has been used in medicine for a long time in many conditions such as: Acne vulgaris, wound healing, as a haemostatic or for tooth whitening. Hydrogen Peroxide has also regenerative properties at low strenghts, it allows penetration of other molecules and decreases the toxicity of the active ingredients used in chemical peels. Peroxyses is a gel peel, formulated with 3% of stabilized Hydrogen Peroxide with hyaluronic acid and acts a signal activator. Produces a skin barrier change (stratum corneum lipids) and an oxidative epidermal cell injury (cell membrane proteins), with changes in the balance of cytosine ratio and modulating signalling transduction pathways can be used in association with gel peels: Melases TCA TRX, Melases TRX Booster Peel, Ferulac Valencia Peel, Sesglicopeel, Lactipeel, Argipeel and others. Peroxyses with Melases TCA TRX and Melases TRX Booster Peel increases not only the hypopigmentory effect but prevents UV-induced pigmentation (due to the activity of tranexamic acid) but also provides a firming immediate effect, both palpable and visual, never seen before with chemical peels. It is important to use H₂O₂ in a separated way to avoid the consequent loss of effectiveness of the acid and hydrogen peroxide and apply it with vigorous massage that has to be upwards.
