Dr. Masahiko Tanabe, Medicine Doctor (Ph.D.-medicine), now is a Director of the?Department of Breast Surgery at Kyoundo Hospital. He was an Associate Professor of the Department of Breast Oncology at Juntendo University School of Medicine before. He is a surgical oncologist for breast cancer as well as a certified specialist of medical genetics. He got his Medicine Doctor?s degree (Ph.D.) at the University of Tokyo. Currently Dr. Masahiko Tanabe?s researches focus on exploring epigenetic marks on the estrogen receptor target genes which are associated with progression of breast cancer. In addition, he is vigorously working on treatment of metastatic breast cancer which is resistant to multiple standard treatments. Dr. Masahiko Tanabe is delighted to collaborate with the Journal of Clinical Epigenetics. He can contribute to review manuscripts on epigenetic biology and clinical field especially on breast cancer.
