Biography

I got the Ph.Doctor degree of public health of Medical school, Okayama University. I worked in Saga Medical School as an associate professor of public health. At that time, I was interested in the anti-Alzheimers effect of Japanese green tea, which showed the decreasing effect on homocysteine in blood. However homocysteine did not show any neurodegenerative effect at its physiological dose. Why does Japanese green tea show the anti- Alzheimers effect? Finally I found that the pathogenic effect of homocysteic acid (HA), an oxidizing metabolite of homocysteine, on the cognitive decline of AD. Now I have developed the supplement which can decrease HA in blood. This supplement could recover the final stage of AD patients. They could recognize their families and enjoy their conversation with their families. I think our hypothesis that the HA in blood could be decrease to recover the cognition should be considered.

Research Interest

The pathogenic effect of homocysteic acid in blood of Alzheimers, neurodegeneration and cancer proliferation.
