Biography

EDUCATION- BA studies: double major in Psychology and Communication, The University of Haifa (Haifa, Israel). MA studies: the psychobiology program, department of psychology, The University of Haifa; field of research: behavioral neuroscience, assessing the involvement of central monoamines in a rat model of social cooperation. PhD studies: the psychobiology program, department of psychology and the Brain and Behavior Research Center, The University of Haifa; field of research: behavioral neuroscience, establishing a novel early life stress rat model. Post-Doctoral studies: Department of Neurobiology and the Feinberg Graduate School, Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot, Israel); field of study: behavioral neuroscience; assessing the involvement of the CRF/Urocortin systems in modulating stress responses and learning faculties- developing models of stress induced psychopathologies. CURRENT- heading the Behavioral and Physiological Phenotyping Unit, Department of Veterinary Resources, Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot, Israel).

Research Interest

My research interests are in the field of behavioral neuroscience; more specifically, animal models (rats, mice, zebra fish and zebra fish larvae) that may be utilized to further the understanding of the neural substrates that mediate anxiety, learning and memory social behaviors and motor functions.
