Biography

Following training at University College London (BSc.) and the Institute of Psychiatry London (PhD.) Mick has spent over 30 years teaching and researching in the areas of clinical psychology, psychopathology and neuroscience. Mick?s interests in neuroscience stretch from studies of the cellular changes involved in memory formation and hemispheric differences in the monkey cerebrum to the use of Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging and spectroscopy in the measurement of human brain activity. His interests in clinical and therapeutic work include those related to evidence-based therapeutic techniques, the development of mental illness and the pathways of child rearing and development. Mick has over 60 published research papers and has supervised over 20 doctoral students during his career. Having retired as Head of the School of Psychology, Mick is currently a conjoint Associate Professor in the School of Psychology, Newcastle University New South Wales Australia.

Interested in the areas of clinical psychology, psychopathology and neuroscience.
