Abstract:

Inferior vena cava (IVC) duplication is a rare condition, being estimated to occur in 0.3 to 3.0% at general population. The concomitance of pelvic venous congestion (PVC) in this condition was related only in two cases. The authors report a rare case of symptomatic pelvic venous congestion in the presence of duplication of inferior vena cava and inter-iliac communication through right hypogastric vein treated by endovascular approach, with embolization of varicose pelvic veins.
