Biography

Dr. Yang received his Bachelor degree from University of Science and Technology of China. He received his Master and Ph.D. degrees from Nankai University. He pursed his postdoctoral research related to renal and lung development at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. During his research faculty period, his research focused on epigenetic regulation in pediatric cancer neuroblastoma and pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Yang?s current work primary focuses on genetic and epigenetic basis of uterine fibroid development and better understand the molecular mechanisms, development and progression of human uterine fibroids, as well as the evaluation and usefulness of epigenetic drug(s) as an effective, safe, and non-surgical long-term treatment alternative for this common disease.
