Research Interest

My past research focused on the relationships between the pathology of intraepidermal nerve fibers and neuropathic pain. The roles of purinergic signaling in pain development also investigated. Intraepidermal nerve fibers expressing different nociceptors respond the several external stimulation, such as temperature, mechanical and chemical application, referred as the polymodal nociceptors. The pathology of those polymodal nociceptors correlate to pain development are issues we are trying to investigate.
