Biography

My area of expertise is the biochemistry of membrane proteins. My scientific interests have mostly been focused on energy-transducing systems and in particular those evolved in organelles. I completed my Ph.D on the biogenesis and regulation of the photosynthetic complexes combining multidisciplinary approaches (I.B.P.C., Paris). Then, I joined the C.N.R.S. (French National Center for Scientific Research) where I have acquired an excellent appreciation of the mitochondrial system through the study of the biogenesis of respiratory complexes in yeast and human using various biochemical and genetic approaches. I have then chosen to focus my research on the mitochondrial proteome and phosphoproteome study. In this context, I participated in the development of new tools combining biochemical and mass spectrometry analyses. Finally these last years, I have developed a research project with my group on the regulation of OXPHOS complexes by the post-translational modifications and particularly, phosphorylation.
