    A multi randomized clinical study of a novel artificial pancreas system that automatically monitors and manages blood glucose levels discovered that the new system was more successful than conventional therapies at regulating blood glucose levels in persons with type 1 diabetes. The pancreas produces chemicals that regulate blood sugar and aid digestion. You will need to take medications after surgery to manage these functions.
