Growth factors

Any substance such as hormones, vitamins, proteins, minerals, etc. is termed as growth factors. Growth factors primary role is to promote cell division and cellular differentiation. Growth factors occur in very wide range of organism’s i.e. insects, human beings, plants and animals. Usually growth factors are isolated from animals (mice and cattle), and the isolated substance includes insulin, pituitary gland hormone, epidermal gland hormone.
