Currently, the problem of Environmental Education for sustainable development continues to be considered a priority issue in any scenario in the world. For this, the rational management of resources is a priority since the strategies for development that are applied are not always compatible with the conservation of nature. A comprehensive conception of environmental processes is required, based on education for sustainable development that is expressed and planned through the introduction of the environmental dimension from the educational processes. The effectiveness of this task involves not only the analysis of the environmental dimension from different perspectives, within the educational framework, but also the appreciation of the culture and identity of the community where it is developed. As a contribution to this important effort, the authors present an institutional strategy, conceived with the general objective of contributing to the development of Environmental Education in Saurimo city from the actions of Polytechnic Higher School of Lunda Sul in Angola. This strategy, conceived in three directions: Undergraduate, Postgraduate and University Extension, allows to influence significantly to obtain of knowledge in individuals, which produce attitudinal changes that lead to sustainable development.
