Injections are a common medical procedure used to introduce a substance into the body, typically through a needle and syringe. They are an essential part of modern healthcare, playing a crucial role in both diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. Injections are administered for a wide range of purposes, including delivering medications, vaccinations, diagnostics, and therapeutic interventions. This article explores the different types of injections, their uses, and safety measures associated with their administration. Injections can be broadly categorized into several types based on their purpose and the location of administration: Intramuscular injections are delivered directly into the muscle tissue. This type is commonly used for administering vaccines, antibiotics, hormones, and certain other medications.
