General Overview

Quality in Primary Care is an international peer reviewed journal for those researching, teaching or practising in the fields of quality improvement, clinical governance or clinical audit related to primary and pre-hospital care. The journal is concerned with all aspects of quality and quality improvement in primary and pre-hospital care and the interfaces between primary, secondary and social care. We publish high-quality original research that advances knowledge on these topics generalisable to other settings and countries and from other disciplines related to medicine, including nursing, practice management, professions allied to medicine and social science.

Quality in Primary Care offers easy to submit and review systems. We are using Editor Tracking system for this purpose. Where Author / Reviewer/ Editor can monitor every step of the article processing through this system, from submission to publication. This convenient online manuscript submission and processing system is widely praised by authors for ease of use.

In order to serve the purpose we do classify the research work in to the following types: Research, Review, Short Review, Case Report, Case Studies, Case Series, Case Blog, Commentaries, Short Commentaries, Hypothesis, Thesis etc.,

We would look forward to expand and welcomes a wide range of members to the Editorial Board who are expert in their respective discipline and collectively cover the scope of the Journal. We trust this new editorial structure will ensure their provision in future.

Aim, Scope & Focus

Aim

This is the first European journal devoted solely to the topic of quality in primary healthcare. The aim of the journal is to promote the science of improving primary care delivery to patients, families and communities, putting the science of quality improvement at the heart of patient care. The journal is concerned with all aspects of quality, safety and equity in primary care including the interface between primary and secondary or social care.

Scope

Primary Health Care Centre: Primary Health Care, or PHC alludes to "fundamental medicinal services" that depends on experimentally stable and socially adequate techniques and innovation. This makes all inclusive medicinal services open to all people and families in a community.

Primary care clinic management: Primary care internal medicine is a science where we apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care of adults across the spectrum from health to complex illness. Internists are people equipped to deal with whatever problem a patient brings -- no matter how common or rare, or how simple or complex. They are specially trained to solve puzzling diagnostic problems and can handle severe chronic illnesses and situations where several different illnesses may strike at the same time. They also bring to patients an understanding of wellness (disease prevention and the promotion of health.

Comprehensive primary care: Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) is a framework conceived as a global strategy to reduce inequities in health between and within nations and emphasising community action. Comprehensive primary health care helps in identification and response to social factors which mainly influence health which in turn impact on the key determinants of health. Comprehensive Primary Health care is an approach to health care that highlights social justice, equity, community control and social change.

Focus

We would like to associate with Scientists/ Researchers / Healthcare companies in publishing each and every advancements going on in the field of quality improvement and improve our readership to larger extinct than that of 2019.

During the year 2019, all the issues were published online within the time and also included editorial conferences in the issues. Issue released on a bimonthly basis have more than 9000+ Page views from different diversions such as Asia, Europe and America, and observed that the visitors have accessed the journal pages for reading and deriving information for their use.
