The rationale of the study was to determine factors influencing community participation in rangeland resources management in Sanqebethu Valley in Mokhotlong district, Lesotho. Simple random sampling was used to select the 91 respondents for the study. Structured interviews and focus group discussion were used to collect data. The interview schedule was checked for face and content validity and found suitable and its reliability coefficient (r) of 0.71 was acceptable. Qualitative data were analysed using content analysis. The quantitative data were analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 21. Inferential data analysis was done using logistic regression analysis to determine factors which influence community to participate in rangeland resource management and to explain community participation in the study area. Livestock ownership (p=0.047) was the only explanatory variable influencing community participation.
