Abstract

Anatomical variations of Jugular Foramen & its clinical implication: CT Study

Eti Sthapak

Skull base is a complicated region with number of foramina providing the only portal of access to otherwise closed cranium. The jugular foramen (JF) lies at the posterior end of petro-occipital fissure. It is divided into 2 compartments Pars nervosa (PN) and Pars vascularis (PV) by bony processes arising either from temporal or occipital bone.
