Molecular Evolution

DNA as a biomolecule that is used as a document of evolutionary history. The revolution in DNA technology has provided with an opportunity to make comparisons of the DNA sequences of various genes between different organisms which in turn can tell us about the relationships of organisms. Molecular evolution allows are to use DNA to study the evolution of organisms such as population structure, geographic variation and to use different organisms to study the evolution of DNA.
