Are pluripotent cells derived from the inner cell mass of a developing blastocyst, typically around five days after fertilization. Pluripotent means that they can give rise to cells of all three germ layers endoderm, mesoderm, and ectoderm. This remarkable versatility makes them invaluable tools for regenerative medicine.
