Abstract

Design analysis of an intelligent GSM-based multi-channel control system for home appliances

In this Paper, the design analysis of GSM-based multichannel control system for electrical/electronic appliances has been presented and achieved. To achieve this, three stages were involved in our design methodology, namely: power supply unit design, microcontroller programming, simulation of different parts of the entire work. GSM-based Multichannel remote control system utilizes two mobile phones, with one acting as the remote phone while the other is the sensor phone,. With the remote phone, control of electrical/electronic appliances is achieved via the sensor phone making use of a DTMF decoder and a microcontroller. The design specification for this work was strictly followed, and the result obtained after construction and testing was indeed satisfactory
